About this course
Take a reinforced concrete building from an empty model to finished member design in Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis. You build the structure in 2D and 3D, define load cases and generate wind loads, combine them, run slab and frame analysis, and then design every element: slabs, stairs, beams, columns, pad footings and combined footings. Every step follows the workflow a practising structural engineer uses on real projects.
What you will be able to do
- Build 2D and 3D structural models of a concrete building, and prepare the analytical model
- Define load types and load cases, and generate wind loads automatically
- Create load combinations to Eurocode
- Analyse slabs and frames and read the results with confidence
- Design slabs, stairs, beams and columns to Eurocode 2
- Design pad footings and combined footings
Course contents
Every lesson in the course, in teaching order.
Before you start
- Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional installed (2023 or newer recommended)
- A basic understanding of reinforced concrete design
- A computer that runs Robot; watching the lessons works on a phone

Every lesson here follows the workflow used on real projects — from the model in Autodesk Robot through to the drawings in Revit. Nothing is taught that you would not open the software for.
